As a Writer

Vijit Singh started his writing journey with scripting of plays. His initial scripting was renowned hindi writer Pankaj Subeer’s story ‘Do Ekant’. He scripted 'Do Ekant' and crafted it as a play 'O Ri Chiraiya'. He also directed this play and it was staged in several parts of the country. As a script writer he also scripted renowned writer Akhilesh’s story ‘Shaapgrast’ for Bhartendu Natya Akademi. He also wrote several plays, short stories, street plays and scripts for short films.

Plays written by him are socially relevant. He raises several social issues though his plays like women empowerment, Humann rights, RTI, police ethics, legal system, dowry, bribe, castism, religious harmony etc.
