As a Director

Vijit Singh started his directorial journey in year 2010 with a play direction. With the emergence of new trends in theatre, he adopted new methodologies and engaged in new practices without loosing the essance of the core of theatre. Directed several socially relevant plays with professional theatre artists, budding theatre aspirants, creative individuals, prisoners of jail, girls of Kasturba Gandhi awasiya baalika vidyalay and also with the teachers of Government Basic Education System.

In year 2018, he did his debut in short film making. Scripted and directed his first short film ‘Alfaaz’ which was based on women safety. This short film was highly appreciated by audiences and was also used by Radio City for one of it’s important campaign ‘City ki Bhaigiri’. He also directed short films for different departments of Government of Uttar Pradesh which are used for spreading awareness among the masses.
